How much is Amazon prime cost now?

That sounds about right for one year. I typically only sign up for 1 couple months during holiday season and then back to no prime membership. It's like $13-15 a month during those time.

We do the same but we hunt down the trial deals, typically we get 4 week free trail during the holidays but that is gone now. I think it maybe still offered if your account hasn’t taken the offer before. A few days ago with a little effort we found a deal. 2 months for $8.99 ($4.50 a month)

Other than shopping and shipping we don’t use other Amazon services for entertainment (video and music). No interest in what they offer compared to other services

I'm an hour drive away from the town with all the big stores. With local gas at $3.29 a gallon it pays for me to have Prime.
Between fuel, time and mileage I'm ahead of the game IMO. UPS to the door, no Amazon delivery here. I like to shop local but everything is inflated in my tourist based area so if its a not needed yesterday item I'm hitting the keyboard.
