And don't forget about the other 20 BITOG guys who will gently remind you that your precious group III synthetic oil really isn't 'synthetic'.

Don't forget about the one guy (me) that will remind everyone that synthetic oil is not really synthetic but just highly refined Hydrocarbons made from petrochemicals that bare a close resemblelance to Olestra.

Ummm Olestra *is* PAO. And like some PAO motor oil formulations, is rumoured to cause leakage from certain orifices in humans.

You forgot about three members whom will post that they have been adding oil for at least 45 years and will remind everyone that no engineer can possibly know more about adding oil. [Big Grin] Great post Gary. [HAIL 2 U!]

[LOL!] You forgot 3 people who will chime in and say that they should have used a thicker oil, 2 who say it should have been an HDEO, and 1 who refers back to a Honda UOA of 5W-20 even though the car in the original post was a Toyota!

10 People to post UOA's of oil that has been added. 5 People to post VOA's of the oil to be added. 2 new posters to post how everyone is paranoid and they have never added oil before and had no problems. 3 People to post the molecular Process by which added oil mixes with the existing oil and how this affects future UOAs.

You forgot the 45 people to sniff the oil 17 to brag that they got it on sale 83 who've never heard of it since it's not sold at walmart 3 people to check the seals for leaky bottles ... and one guy who lets his almost empty bottles drip down into a bucket which is later dumped in the mother-in-laws 1985 Delta 88. let's not forget the umpteen brave souls who, upon hearing of this oil addition, promptly drive to every outlet in the surrounding counties and buy every last drop of the oil. and some filters, just in case. not to mention the 68 members who start an entirely new thread on whether or not the dipstick was properly wiped. According to my calculations, that makes at total of 3,205 BITOG'ers so far. All of this over one single stinkin' quart of oil! [Eek!] No edit [ January 16, 2005, 12:29 AM: Message edited by: 59 Vetteman ]

[Eek!] Really you have to subtract about 3 members from your total, 2 were arguing and calling another member names and 1 was downright rude. So 3 posts deleted. [Patriot]
