This thread is about new vehicle purchases. Plus, vehicles today are built a whole lot different than your three outdated Toyotas that you list in your Signature.
Did you buy those three new? Since your love is the Toyota name, how did you choose one model over the other?..... just like this topic asks?
If you arrived here just to be sarcastic and bought those Toyotas used, then no need to reply.
I love all the responses BTW. Folks have 1M different reasons why they chose the vehicle they did and nobody cited brand loyalty (other that Supton) as the reason.
You love all the responses yet I have no need to reply?
I did buy one of the Toyota's new. It was bought for its reliability and low TCO, long cruising range, 4 doors and manual transmission. No other considerations. It does nothing outside of that well.
I bought my truck as a CPO, so it was not new: it was 3 years old with 73k on it, but as a CPO I viewed it as having a 4 year / 27k warranty. Close enough to new for me. It was bought to be a 4 door pickup with 4 wheel drive and modest towing capacity; TCO wasn't really considered, but its name plate hinted at it. It likewise does nothing well, and has had a couple of repairs to boot, and it's running costs make me sad--I wish I had gone a different direction now.
The last one was bought as a cheap runabout, and was expected to need a bunch of repairs--but was to have a low TCO. It's beat up, slow, leaks oil, is loud on the highway.
All three are kept around as the numbers crunching says this is the best thing to do.
If that's not the definition of "not fussy" then I'm not sure what is.
