How fast do oils shear back?

For Example: Chevron Supreme 10W-30 spec'd 10.8 cSt @ 100C.

What would be the viscosity of this oil be after 1500 miles assuming there was no fuel dilution?

Do you think I'm an idiot? I just came from the UOA section, which is the reason I started this thread. It seems as though a lot of oils start out at a certain viscosity, and then shear back to a grade below at 1500 miles.
