How do you look up a Facebook Marketplace buyer's profile?

Up until maybe a year ago, when you got a Messenger message you could click on the persons round picture and it would go to their Facebook page. That doesn't seem to work anymore. Is there some workaround other than searching their name manually, which if common, could have thousands of hits to look through.

Is this for all buyers or just one. Maybe their privacy settings are on lock down if it's just one.

Haven't sold anything in about 6 months, so I can't help if something has changed.

Click their name or avatar where it says "Seller Information, Randy Schavel, Joined Facebook in 2007", then click the "View Profile" button. What you see on the next page will depend entirely on how they have their privacy settings.

Ooops.... I suspect FB's privacy settings are in full effect. The person can control what you see or not see. Maybe, just maybe, if a transaction is completed, FB allows some more information to be seen by you.

This happens with every message I get from Marketplace. I guess buyer could be a homicidal maniac but FB wants to protect their privacy.

How do you pre-screen buyers from Craigslist, etc, etc ?

You don't but on Facebook MP the buyer sees everything about you, why shouldn't it work the other way too?
