How do you know GC is true synthetic?

How does anyone know that GC is a TRUE synthetic? (Made from PAO/Esters, not Group III.)

Is it listed on Castol's site?

I've read a lot of postings, but that doesn't make it a fact.

A bunch of us chipped in to have some very sophisticated lab work done. See the #2 and #3 stickies at the top of this sub-forum. Lab results do make it fact. The green stuff is definitely not G-III. Probably the same for the gold formula, but there is some lingering doubt, as it's additive package is distinctly different. I'd say that the probability is that the base oil mix in the gold is probably quite similar to that of the green formula.

Uhh...because Castrol said so, & we all know they would *never* stoop to calling a Group III oil a synthetic.

and lets not forget how the tests determined that the VII's are esters made from PAO that behave like base oils. Very Trick.
