How do I make the search work?

I tried but I'm not finding what I'm looking for. I wanted to compare the various 15w-40 diesel oils. I really wanted to see how the Super tech stuff is compared to Rotella.

I get like 200+ finds but they seem to all be the same threads.

Is there a way to condense a search?

Use google instead. While it won't search specific forums it will search the 'pages' the same way you see them instead of the "post by post" method the current BITOG search engine uses.

Initially after the upgrade google would find pages from the old system but for a while now it has been finding the new.

You can use google's advanced search feature or use the shortcut at the regular search. An example of the shortcut is something like:

site:theoildrop.server101.com supertech rotella 15w
