You know that taxes are usually paid twice a year right? Not monthly. Mine are $2k per year. I'm sure some people pay plenty more than that, but not many pay $2k a MONTH.
That's a really expensive house if it's 2k a month, but around here, some towns are quarterly or 4 times a year and some are just twice a year. But if you have a mortgage, it's usually factored in on a monthly basis and it's part of the payment.
