How about this homebrew mix?

I've been thinking. Maybe mix 2 qts of 20w-50 Torco syn with 4 qts of Pennz or Delo 15w/40. Lots of Moly and thick oil for my 4.0 Jeep? Ever since I found this site I cant stop thinkin of oil

That sounds like a nice brew for a high revving motor. The 33% syn and the detergent in the HDEO will really clean the motor, too. With gas prices so high right now I prefer a lower winter number to improve warm-up efficiency. Can you think of a brew to get that? Joe

Honestly Chris, I don't see the need for the Torco. Running a "straight" HDEO 15w-40 will give you great protection and engine cleanliness...no need to spend th extra on the Torco.

I agree with Jelly. If you search and look at the VOA on the Pennzoil 15W-40, it has a big dose of Moly anyway, plus Boron and ZDDP. It seems to already have what you are looking for and then some.
