I found these pictures of an Accord V6 engine with 120,000 miles that had its valve covers removed for a valve adjustment. The oil had been changed every 3000 miles since new. It is unclear whether this engine had been a regular customer of the independent repair shop that performed the valve adjustment, as this shop normally recommends a valve adjustment at 105K.

OTOH, these are pictures from a ’03 RSX with 26,000 miles, in for an early valve adjustment as part of its 30K service. It’s very possible that this vehicle had 3K oil changes since new (shop’s recommendation), as the owner seemed extra “cautious” to have the 30K service performed early, and seemed quite friendly to the repair shop to allow them to perform an early valve adjustment as part of the shop’s experiment:
