Honda Fit pressure bleed experience

There were no references for the Honda Fit for pressure bleeding the brakes so I wanted to post my experience for future people searching for a reference. I did a brake fluid exchange with Honda DOT 3 as it had been 3 years since the last.

There is a CTA cap that people use for the Honda master cylinder but I found this one below worked great without needing to adapt the hose for my OMT pressure bleeder. Plug and play on the Fit. Good seal but needed to be lubricated with brake fluid to get it perfect.

There were many posts out there stating they couldn’t pressure bleed Honda brakes without sky high pressure. My experience was that with about 10psi, the Fit bled easily. Got a few bubbles out. Honestly probably would have done fine at a lower pressure too.

Overall an easy experience. Dumped a bottle of isopropyl alcohol and rinsed out the pressure bleeder and accessories to keep them from breaking down. Hardest part was reorganizing the tools afterwards.

Hopefully that helps anyone looking for the right cap and PSI for the Fit.
