got 2 filters from the hondas from the last oil change. its gonna rain 3 days straight so thought i would dispose of them. cut them open before i did. one is a honda oem one and the other a union sangyo . i have used about a dozen of the union ones so far with no issues. i like the metal end caps of the union. and they are reasonable at about $3.25 each when buying 6 off of ebay. some of the damage you see on the union is from removal . crushed it a little each filter has about 5k miles on them [Linked Image from i.imgur.com] [Linked Image from i.imgur.com] [Linked Image from i.imgur.com]

Thanks, Given my hondas can call for the can to stay on up to 20K before FCI, I'm running higher end products designed for that life Does the Fram/ Honda have a metal seam clamp? The Sangyo looks good except for the nitrile ADBV - although with the dome end down Im not sure it matters so much as its isnt draining back anywhere. UD

+1 on the Union Sangyo filters. I used them for years in multiple Acuras and Hondas with never a problem. The price was always right at my local indie store, like BAP-Geon.
