Honda Civic/Accord Timing Belt vs Chain?

I recently saw an 05 Accord K24 that had a broken timing chain fixed at the dealer for $2k. Looks like some other bits were replaced while they were in there. From some of the invoices it had been run low on oil at least once and oil changes didn't seem to often. Owned by a younger doctor starting out. Car only at 80k miles or so iirc.

Happens.

To the "bits inside" part when you go look up a belt or chain replacement you will typically be quoted rollers, tensioners, and a water pump, making the job a lot more than when you went online and looked up the cost to do it in some local garage- because that price was just the belt and labor- not the parts and labors for all the other "bits".

So at the 100K or 120 or whatever the stated interval is - you do all that because if you don't and a roller seizes at 150K you junk the motor.
