Honda Accord Transmission

I just had the transmission replaced in my 2001 Accord 4cyl. The car only has 105,000km, and it was replaced under warranty.

I noticed on the work order that it says the old transmission is a BAXA-8171651 and the new is MAXA-5029880. Does anyone know if this is a new revision of the transmission, hopefully with the bugs worked out?

Do you think that draining out the transmission every 15,000km would help make this one last longer than the last? It holds about 8 litres, and you can drain 3 litres out through the drain plug.

As well would a transmission cooler be good for this car?

How often had you changed it on the previous one? I change mine out every 15,000 miles (24,150 km) on an 02 V6.

I bought the car with 90,00km on it and it was changed at 50,000, and I changed it at 96,000. The first time it was done at the dealer, and I did it myself the second time with Honda ATF.
