My son has a 2008 EX-L and the check engine light recently came on. In 2011 Honda issued a TSB stating the engine code P2422 could be caused by spiders in the EVAP drain box. Hard to believe but look what I found

A dead spider and eggs.

Mazda has an almost identical TSB for (I believe) the first generation 3's. Who knows why the little guys like those tubes, but they do. I've seen it myself!

Certain year Mazda 6's had them also, and it was only for one of the engine options, back when there was an I4 and a V6. They called it the "spider spring" and one of my techs had a whole song for it.
