Is a gooseneck and a fifth wheel on a pickup truck the same thing?

Also, what is it called when I see a regular trailer hitch mounted between the wheels in the bed of the truck?

The first 2 pictures are for a gooseneck. The last 2 pictures are for a 5th wheel.

Goosenecks are usually for large utility trailers that people use to haul backhoes etc.

5th wheels are usually for travel trailers.

And there are gooseneck adapters to convert a 5th wheel trailer. Benefit is you don't have a bed full of heavy hitch to deal with. I have a small 5er and love how it pulls but it's a pain.
