Yeah, there are a lot of idiots that daily drive full-size trucks, but really shouldn’t be driving at all.

The thing is a "normal" person (in my mind), if they did that, they would feel bad. For the car, and for the owner, and for having made a mistake. But I do believe you are right, "some" folks just have zero respect not just for the property of others, but for others. I see the damage and immediately feel for the OP.
I know sometimes we let our imagination go, but I wonder to myself, how is it my front tow hook cover was gone? It doesn't just fall off. So I had to buy a new one, it cannot be purchased body color, it's primed, buy exact match spray paint, paint it, and of course the car being a 2007, it doesn't match. Whomever stole it, could care less, right? Now they have one for their gray car. I showed my wife, there was a car going down the road with the tow hook cover loose, and it had a tether to prevent it from falling off.
At any rate hope OP's car gets restored.
Car needs a bare metal repaint. Current paint is lousy.
No shop yet, just an adjuster.
Well there you go. This is your opportunity to fix it and paint it right.
And get it back in 2028. If ever.
He likely has had the experience of people smacking anything he owns every time he parks.
I gave up on nice things long ago because I can’t keep up with the dents dings and smashy smash, only occurs when the car is empty and parked.
I just drive them with damage and don’t get rid of them, I paid for them and will get my money out of them even if they look like beaters

I had three close calls with braindead drivers today while on the Motorcycle. I wasn't speeding, and they would have seen me if they could tear their eyes away from their *#%$*^# phone for even a second. Am I going to let it ruin my day? No. When I am on the bike I assume everyone is stupid, and/or incompetent. I am frequently proven right, and since I anticipate their stupidity/ incompetence, I can avoid them.
There are stupid, careless people out there, who couldn't care less about your car, or my life.
Fix your car and move on with life.
