I had a Duster 340 4-speed as my first car, after rebuilding the engine and transmission. I wish I still had that car today.

Grrrrrrr.. It's tough to imagine how that was hit to cause damage at those points.
I'm thinking it most have been some type of truck, such as an MDT, to make contact at that height.
At this point, I'm probably dumping it for 30 cents on the dollar.
Truck overrode the bumper.
Pickup or big SUV. Marks on top of the bumper.

Wow, what a drag. I've dealt with far worse, but that car is a classic. Get 'er fixed.

I get being angry. I would be too. In fact I am.
But bad things happen, which are beyond our control. Fix it and enjoy it again, or at least fix it before selling it. Selling it as-is will hurt even more.
Probably done with a tall pickup. He probably didn't see (or feel) a thing.
Maybe you were already considering selling it.
You don't want to make a rash decision so soon after being hit.
This is akin to imploring widows not to sign anything or move etc. immediately after the death.
My neighbor had an inaugural Plymouth Road Runner and a Plymouth Fury III (with all the Road Runner options) from the preceding year....the best looking driveway in town.
Someone backed into Fury's back end. He was older than me and smart.
He told me this was a bad thing and to own up if I ever hit someone's car...a quick little instruction I never forgot.
While street parking, I broke a guy's taillight. A VW 412 with derfy, surface mounted box taillights comes to mind.
Potato peelers outside a large kitchen, told me who to go look for. I found him and told him what I did and that I'd fix it....big language barrier.
2-3 days later I handed him a good junkyard taillight. His expression alone was worth it.

I don't care at this point. I want it gone. I'm far beyond angry, to the point I WILL end up locked up forever if I find the oxygen thief responsible.

I also have a somewhat classic car. I watch where I park it. I don't take any chances and I have full coverage insurance.
