At work. I have full coverage, though I'm sure they won't actually pay.Parked where?
I also have a somewhat classic car. I watch where I park it. I don't take any chances and I have full coverage insurance.

You know, I have been beat up by cars (aka wasted $$) so badly... I feel like giving up. They end up being a labor of love. I would be PO'ed just like you.Selling it. I give up
I sometimes forget that I can never have anything nice-as always, reality whacks me HARD. I figure I'll get maybe thirty cents on the dollar for the car. Anything I enjoy even a tiny bit MUST blow up in my face. I plan to spend the rest of the weekend drunk. You know, I have been beat up by cars (aka wasted $$) so badly... I feel like giving up. If you can, if it is in the budget, keep that classic alive. Good luck.
Anyways, check out our '65 442 with 97K on the clock. Wifey's father bought it new...

OP, I`m concerned about your reaction to some bad luck. Life sometimes sucks for most of us and how we react to it will determine our ability to cope. Best of luck sir.I sometimes forget that I can never have anything nice-as always, reality whacks me HARD. I figure I'll get maybe thirty cents on the dollar for the car. Deets on the car/price?I sometimes forget that I can never have anything nice-as always, reality whacks me HARD. I figure I'll get maybe thirty cents on the dollar for the car. Anything I enjoy even a tiny bit MUST blow up in my face. I plan to spend the rest of the weekend drunk.
Get it fixed and move on with life. Not everyone in the world is a good person but you still have to deal with them. Same thing happened to my S2000. I had the body fixed to perfect shape, new front and rear bumper covers, painted black with 3 coats of clear, color sanded and buffed to a mirror finish. The most perfect car I've owned. Someone bumped the front bumper in a parking lot. I didn't notice until I was home and I saw a Crack in the paint. I thought about just living with it but took it to the paint shop a few days later and dropped it off. They gave me a great price to fix it, probably had 200 miles on the paint job and they gave me a break. That was about 5 years ago. Now there is 1 more small ding caused by me last summer but I can live with my own accidents.
Naah. I'm just realizing that, as always, I cannot be permitted to have anything nice. Nothing that I enjoy can ever be permitted to happen. I forgot-as always, reality whacked me hard. I need to sell the car while I can still get something for it.I think you may be overreacting in anger and grief.
This old thing no doubt suffered worse before you owned it and can be readily repaired.
If you really like it, get it fixed and move on.
Your reaction seems more akin to the loss of a loved one than relatively minor damage to a car.
A nice car, a special car, sure.
At the end of the day, it's still only a car that can be repaired to be just as it was before.
No reason not to have something nice just because others show a lack of responsibility for their actions.
And yeah, they knew they hit it. The sudden stop and what would have been a very audible crunch would have been unmistakable.
73 Duster, rebuilt Magnum 360/Brewer 4-speed, manual steering and brakes, USCT floor braces. 50% discount if the car is immediately shipped out of the country.Deets on the car/price?
As I said, I forgot that I can't have nice things and can't enjoy anything. I'm sure selling the car is the wrong thing to do, but I'm doing it anyway.I agree with those who suggest selling is an overreaction. I think the car is cool. I am surprised that nobody is commenting on the quality of the bodywork preexisting before the damage, but would also say that this damage is fairly minor. Good luck.
I love old Mopars and always wanted a Duster.Naah. I'm just realizing that, as always, I cannot be permitted to have anything nice. Nothing that I enjoy can ever be permitted to happen. I forgot-as always, reality whacked me hard. I need to sell the car while I can still get something for it.

Since you Must sell {Purge) your Mopar,How much money will it take and where are you located ? Asking for a friend.
Someone bumped into your car and now you have to sell it? I’m confused.
I might miss the ideal of it. I'll get over it. It needs to go, the car is a terd anyway. It would probably require $20,000+ and a couple years to make it not-bad.I love old Mopars and always wanted a Duster.
I felt how you are feeling about my YJ for various reasons, including mechanical, my wife hated it, and I didn’t have time to drive it. I sold it for what I bought it for 5 years earlier. Within months I missed that ugly Jeep and my wife realized that I deeply enjoyed my toy. I have a new Jeep now.
People wrecking stuff is one of the reason I moved away from pristine cars to Jeeps. You can’t really hurt a Jeep.
I think you’ll miss your car.

And gee, what a shock, I got lowballed. At work. I have full coverage, though I'm sure they won't actually pay.
$20,000 and years to fix 1 week and $3,000 worth of work is wild.I might miss the ideal of it. I'll get over it. It needs to go, the car is a terd anyway. It would probably require $20,000+ and a couple years to make it not-bad.
My findings are a teen who took off or someone who has suspended license.Someone hit it while parked.
Already doing that, though I suspect the one responsible has no money and probably no insurance.
