Historic Destroyer Sinking at the Dock.

Last year the U.S.S Cod submarine in Cleveland was towed to Erie, PA to be dry docked. And have a bunch of rusty exterior areas fixed. Probably to prevent the above from happening.

I’ve been on that ship. That’s a nice little park. They have various events there including a car show. I’m sure they will get it fixed. They raised a lot of money to do that.

Needs a drydock bad, it's been a long time since it's been out of the water for proper hull repairs and repainting. Unfortunately not cheap and I'm not sure how many drydocks are available in that region, and it sounds like it would need structural repairs before they could even consider towing it to one.

I’ve been to that park many times.

Loved the Bell AirCobra (P-39) hanging inside a hanger. Looked up inside the nose wheel cavity and said “where’s the engine”? The engine is in center of plane just next to and below pilot. Driveshaft leads to prop.

Such a sad story of the 5 Sullivan brothers of WWll. Hopefully they’re namesake ship can be saved.
