Aside from Hazet and MB, who makes a 14mm hinged-type spark plug socket? I purchased mine from MB and the package says Made in China so I am curious who they are using as the supplier.

This socket has a greater range of travel than your normal universal-style spark plug socket. It is most useful for doing spark plugs on the M276 engines without removing the intake manifold.

MB's part # is 278-589-00-09-00. It was $70.

No idea what happened there Hazet always supplied Mercedes. Anyway order it from Germany, it will cost you about $50 all in inc post.

That price has more than a 100% markup over what it really cost. At the local store I can pick it up next time I am there with discount for $34.

Yes. That includes shipping, which was free.

It won't arrive until about 24 September, but I can wait...

If I had wanted it faster, there were options, but my German is very weak, so I selected what looked to be free shipping...

I will add that Safari (I'm on my iPad) doesn't help me with translation, but Chrome (on my laptops) translates very well, and for German tools, Amazon.de has had some truly great deals. 1/3 - 1/2 of what you would pay here, shipped directly.

A set of Stahlwille wrenches, for example. Hazet sockets.

It definitely pays to shop there.

Has anyone figured out how to track orders on Amazon.de?

The few times I have ordered I couldn't get tracking like normal Amazon.

Always arrived though in 7 - 10 days.

Sure have!

From Amazon: "You purchased this item on 5. March 2019."

So, I see them every time I open the second drawer on the right of my tool box...
