High Performance Lubricants 4th of July Sale

Had 12 qts of 0-30 delivered just before the Holiday so no joy this time around. Will be ordering some tranny fluid soon though, possibly in time for HPL’s next holiday sale, National Senior Citizens Day on Aug 18th. Along with the discount they are sending the entire catalog of Lawrence Welk shows on BetaMax tapes as a bonus. 😁

My order arrived today in perfect condition. This oil will go in the truck. Some firearm oil and t-shirts. Thanks @HPL Plant Manager , @High Performance Lubricants !!!!

Man, what a haul! Your S600 is going to live forever… what’s the Blue going into?
The blue is for the Volvos with automatics. They specify a JWS 3309.

The 0W30 is for them, as well, so, I bought a couple cases. I’ve got a case of Supercar 0W40 for the R in Colorado. And a bit of HPL 75W for its manual. They don’t list it on the site, but they’ve got it.

I ran the blue in the V70XC for its last change, and with a drain and fill last month, I was shocked at how little wear material was stuck to the magnetic plug. It shifts perfectly.

I’m really impressed with the performance of that fluid in a 300,000 mile car that has the original transmission.

Good stuff.

it’s amazing how the HPL ATF makes transmissions behave. my 2005 accord with atleast 375k miles on it shifts like a brand new vehicle after flushing with ATF Green and resetting the shift tables. my built 4l80e wasn’t shifting as it should on dex VI so back speccing to Dex III aka ATF Blue made it shift like a built transmission. the dipsticks also don’t have “mud” on them when wiped on a white rag anymore. i’m sold on their ATF for life now.

Yes, the Green CC has actually done really well in my 07 Impreza even though technically it calls for the Blue; @HPL Plant Manager said that since I had it on hand and I’ve been using VML ATF for ~60k with no issues that I would be fine, and it has been. Much smoother shifting and got rid of a hard clunk when cold into OD. Only 189k on that trans so far 🤣

I’ve still got 6 gallons of Green CC and a PPE deep pan with new filter to stick on my 10R80; next week’s temps are in the low 80s so I’m hoping that holds…

While it looks like no M1 rebate this year, if HPL has this same sale next year, I will jump on it. I got 2 years worth of oil changes left for one car and 3 for another, though it might be a tough sell for me to use HPL in my Impreza which gets ~2k mile oil changed +/- a few hundred miles every 6 months due to warranty. I use PUP and PP for that car. My Legacy uses M1 and gets the 6k/6m changed which align up pretty nicely. If/when I get my S4 back up and running, I got about 24 qts of M1 0W-40 to get through before I can convert, though it's looking less likely that I will get that car back up and running any time soon.
