Hi Temp DOT 3 Brake Fluid Degradation?

Do these higher temp DOT 3 fluids degrade or absorb moister quicker than the standard temp DOT 3 fluids? I have read a few posts here and other sites that say these fluids darken quickly. Typically these high temp fluids have a high dry boiling point above the standard 401 F and the wet point is the same at 284 F.

I don't believe so.

Guys who race on the weekends will tell you to flush the brake fluids more often just to make sure you have the absolute highest boiling points possible.

I'd still use a DOT 4 over any of them. Valvoline usually costs the same as a regular DOT3. Dry BP 480, wet 311.

But if you can find it, go for Castrol DOT4 (formerly LMA, and now the bottle is black). Dry BP 509, wet 329. Specifically designed to absorb moisture more slowly.
