Good for you, for staying with her and taking care of her for all those years.
I know what it’s like to lose a close family member - I lost one of my grandmothers to Alzheimer’s in 2001, and then my dad in 2002 after a long, drawn-out illness.
Just my mom is left now. Very grateful she‘s still around at 81 (and with her full faculties).
