Searching online, I can't find anything about if the torque convertor has a drain plug, before I go ahead and drain it and even get it up ramps, I'd like to know if the torque convertor has a drain plug, thanks.

Just drain and fill through the provided transmission bolt(s), or if you can't get to the fill, use the dipstick tube. There's no plug on the converter.

Will it cause issues or is it not safe to go this route ?
Its been discussed in a thread I started, it really depends on how worn the transmission is, but idimitsu type H is oem supplier of honda fluid, so I am using this.

Idemitsu may or may not produce the fluid for Honda, but either way their fluid is far different in composition compared to Honda ATF DW-1.

There are plenty of people that have been using alternative fluids with success. I personally use Idemitsu H+, not because they make the Honda fluid, but because I can get it in a 5qt bottle delivered to me for a fair price.

None of the alternatives match the OEM for composition, but with more and more people using the alternatives, its looking like it doesn't really matter. It's been discussed here and in the white paper sub-forum at length.
