I am looking for an inline 1/4” fuel filter for my Big Bear. I want to cut the fuel hose and put it in the middle. However I don’t want a “long” filter to move the routing of the hose a lot.

I also don’t know what micron I should seek out.

Can anyone suggest something? Would like the best filtration I can have to keep the new OE Mikuni I installed clean.

Here are pics of the hose and an example of routing. Not my machine but YouTube for example.

Your local dirt bike/ ATV dealer will have them.

So does tractor supply and O'Riley's

I just picked one off the wall from AutoZone myself. Figured if it's good enough for a car it's good enough for a bike .

I use the K&N 81-0221 filter on my Big Bear there is not much room for a filter as you know. This K&N has been around for decades. You don't want a fine fuel filter on a gravity feed fuel tank on a ATV or motorcycle found this out the hard way years ago. It will starve them of fuel on extended hard running.

Thanks for this. I ordered one. I like how it’s pretty compact and at least adds some additional filtration beyond what I assume is pretty coarse on the integrated strainers on the Petcock. Plus since you’ve used them on a Big Bear that’s good first hand experience.

Just washed out the tank and put a new petcock on along with a new OE Mikuni carb so I want to keep it clean as possible going forward.
