Hi, guys. I was just finishing changing my wife’s oil (got new ramps yesterday!) on her 2005 Honda Accord 4c, and I noticed the puke tank was well below the Max line...it was right on the Min line. Now, in the manual it calls for Honda’s specific Antifreeze/coolant that is pre mixed with 50% water and 50% coolant. It said NOT to add just water or just coolant.
First, is there a replacement I can use? And what do you recommend? The manual says that if the Honda stuff isn’t available, that a “high-quality” coolant could be used in its place as long as it is non-silicate and recommended for aluminum cars. What would meet those specs?
Second, the manual also says that if you add something other than the Honda stuff, that I should have the cooling system flushed and refilled with the Honda stuff as soon as possible….#@$%!, I don’t have the money for all that s**t before it is even time to do it.
HELP!!!!!
