Do you own a 1979-1993 Foxbody Mustang? What Oil do you use? I have a 1991 LX Coupe 5.0 with 200,000 Kms a lot of bolt-ons, stock block, Stock Heads and cam, Explorer Intake, Full-length 1-5/8th Longtube headers, Electric Flex-A-Lite fan runs so cool, underdrive pulleys, 75mm mass air, 70 mm Throttle body, Stock airbox with K&N air filter, 3 core rad, and 4.10 gears with Mickey Thompson Street S/S 255 50 16 on pony rims she pulls so hard and grabs the road like glue, it still drives like the first day I bought it back in May of 1991. I use Mobile 1 fully synthetic 10W30 oil. should I use Mobile 1 High mileage fully Synthetic oil? I have also used 20w50 Ams oil but I find it's too thick and my car feels sluggish so I stayed with mobile 1 fully synthetic 10w30.

I was told 10w30 by my engine builder. 8.5 comp 327, AFR heads, FTI cam, Edelbrock intake. Sometimes the FL1A filter, sometimes the M1 (301? 103? I forget) filter. I was going to supercharge it, but never did as it was really fun N/A. I ran regular M1 until about 85k mi when I had the heads rebuilt. Switched to M1 HM after that (no ones recommendation, just following the marketing of the product 😄 ). It used a quart or 2 between oil changes. Oil changed between 5k & 7k mi, or right before a long trip or track day weekend. I hammered on car so the oil consumption didn't really bother me. Sadly dropped a valve while getting on the freeway one day. Got about 180k mi out of that stroker....I wasn't mad, just bummed.

When I had my 79 Cobra Mustang, the turbo 4 got conventional 10w-30 (Valvoline or Castrol) put in until it was sold about 8 years ago. It was all stock including the aluminum TRX wheels. At the time, Michelin was the only maker of these expensive tires for those wheels. I was facing buying new ones because of dry rot and decided it was time to sell. It only had around 59k miles on it. I wondered if the tires were still available at that time.

Please post some pictures of this beast.

In our drag racing days, my brother and I shoehorned a 460/C6 into my '79 hatchback. They didn't have kits then, so we fabbed motor mounts and banged out the tranny tunnel to get the C6 in. The driveshaft was custom. The stock radiator sucked in the summer and we drove to cruise night with the heat on.
I don't exactly remember the oil we used, it was likely a Castrol product (10W40 likely). We had dinky slicks and Southside Machine lift bars and ran consistent 12's on Bracket night. She hooked up pretty well. Eventually, the A pillar broke and the back windows cracked from the big block. Always wanted to build another Fox body - only a Fairmont this time. I would even take a Fairmont Wagon.

Not a mustang but had an 84 LTD v6. It was solid blue so not as ugly as some of them but still ugly. Used valvoline 10w40 and farm ph8a or motorcraft fl1a. It was a mosquito fogger and didn’t like to start with less than a half a tank of gas.
