Heavier oil for long drive?

I have a 98 Dodge minivan 3.3L 105,000mi which I will be driving to Florida from Pennsylvania and back this month. I currently use Mobil 1 10-30. Should I consider using something heavier like M1 0w-40 or Delvac 1 5-40? I plan on driving about 12 hours at a time.

Any recommendations??

Stick with what's in there. The temperatures stablize after about 1/2 hour at highway speed, so 12 hours straight isn't much different that from 12 one hour trips.

i have a book on lubes and making your engine last 1,000,000 miles and one put out by the SAE it suggests that on long trips use a heavier oil such as a 40 wt..thats what i been doing...

besides i use delvac 1 and redline 5w40 all the time
