I'm sure it will be a good oil. I don't think anyone has seen it out in the wild yet though.

I seem to remember a plant-based motor oil from about 10 or 15 years ago that was popular at first, but then seemed to disappear.

One could surmise that if this stuff is as good or better than their Pro DS line then it could just take over. As I remember this is being touted as their premium oil.

Nothing new here. Even all synthetic oil is plant-based. It comes from a chemical plant! LOL!

Could be that Chevron is resetting their price structure through their Havoline lineup. The Pro RS is their top of the line synthetic per their marketing. So, for a couple of bucks more you can get the RS. Before the RS was much higher than the rest.

I am but I have about 5-6 months left on the current oil. You can order it at Walmart for $29.97 right now. That’s a decent price.

That was G-Oil (looks like it is still around - https://www.getg.com/G-OIL_motor_oils.php), but you hear next to nothing about it today.

The other oil that comes to mind was Valvoline's NextGen (not plant based) which is also in fade to black mode.

I ran it when Walmart carried it, worked for my 2 vehicles I ran it in. Did like the green aspect of it shame it didn't last
