After about a year of trying it out, I am completely sold on Havoline and have switched all my cars over to it. Good price, great mileage and at a 4k OCI, it is still in very good shape. May be my imagination, but it feels slicker than other top brands when changing. Just my 2 cents worth.

I agree Walmart here doesn't normally stock it but a dozen qts of Dino and 6 qts HM showed up on clearance $1.60 for Dino & $1.90 for HM so I grabbed it all.
I also bought a bunch of the Havoline SYN specials at AAP for $20 and gave the cartridge filters to family member, I think they would cost about $11-$13 retail price.
I have used Havoline for many years. During the 80's, I used it almost exclusively. Today, I use it when it's on sale. We have always had good success with Havoline oils, dino & syn!
Havoline is just a brand name currently owned by Chevron. (I think Chevron is excellent and will use it any time.) Havoline, and every other brand of oil, changes every time the oil standards change, next due in late 2016 or early 2017. Use Havoline with confindence...don't anoint it.
Chevron products=Premium products IMO.
How could you possibly detect that?

Yeah, I don't. I go back to that article I linked once that showed that even from the same station, a 4% variance in energy density of the gasoline was seen.
I think it's possible... it does tend to run a bit thinner than other oils in its grade. When I used Havoline 5W-30 in my Integra and had it analyzed, it actually ended up at the top end of the 5W-20 range.

Any opinions on an OCI for a 2006 Dodge Caravan 4-cyl doing mostly highway miles running Havoline conventional?
I didn't know that Havoline was still available. I haven't seen it on the shelf anywhere for a long time.
That is all my dad used to use when I was a kid. I wish I still had a couple cans for nostalgic purposes only.
