I'm considering using the Havoline Smart Box high mileage synthetic blend 5w30in my Impala and Colorado. Shouldn't this oil be good for a 5000 mile OCI even though it's not a full synthetic?

It shouldn't have any issue going 5k mile intervals.
I have used Havoline box oil twice. It is very good oil in a convenient package. 5k seems easy.
Oil Company gobbledygook doesn't help.
Our blend is good for 5,000 mi.
Our synthetic is good for 7,500 mi.
Your OLM didn't go off for 12,000 mi?
Either is fine for 12,000 mi then.

Havoline high mileage has around 200 ppm of molybdenum and 100+ ppm of boron. And a HTHS of 3.4.
I’d run it without hesitation. Havoline is good stuff.
Been using the 5W-30 and 5W-20 in my cars for a couple of years now. Works every bit as well as the Valvoline I was running before.
