There is a lot of confusion at the gas pump, especially multi-grade pumps for flex-fuel vehicles. Even with non-flex fuel vehicles.

See what these guys have come up with. Their app gives you the best cost per BTU grade to select at the pump and tells you the extra cost per fill to get the same amount of energy from the other grades at the same pump.

See their website at: www.fuelcog.com

What confusion with a non flex fuel vehicle? Your manual says 87, you use 87.

No confusion there.

Multi Grade pumps often have two 87 octane choices.

It quantifies in dollars and cents between the two choices on a price-spread/BTU basis.

i do not see the need for this....
of course we are simple folk in these parts.
not a single e-85 dispenser to be found in a 5 county area, nor an e-0 pump. all gas is E-10, and at most the pumps have 4 selections :
87 octane, 89 octane, 91 octane, Diesel.

The school isn't going to like me taking my granddaughter out every time I fill up.......me and computers are like oil and water.........
