Wal Mart is selling (according to the lable I saw on the plastic bottle) NON detergent motor oil for PRE 1930 vehicles. It's the lowest rating possible: A (we are at M or N now, correct?) I assume this is for all of the model T owners out there. Is more modern oil bad for those engines?

Non-detergent oils and/or SA grade oils can be found at most any discount store. Take a look at Dollar General for example.

Air compressor and pressure washer pumps sometimes call for the stuff.

Some people use those oils in beater cars or think it is better for their lawn mower engine for some reason than quality oils. Either is not a great idea.

More modern oil is better for those engines...anyone with an antique should use a good quality oil with additives...this stuff is really only good for lubricating squeaky gate hinges...I wouldn't use it for my old car...no way...
