Had a small debate with a post office employee..

When I first started doing used oil analysis - went to postal office and they wouldn't take it - paper or no paper. So I just went next door to the UPS. They recommended I box it up otherwise a black cylinder like that could get held for "security" reasons. Took their advice and I've never had a used oil analysis not make it. Sure it costs $6 to send but... from what I hear from other people's used oil analysis not making it - I'll pay to make sure mine does.

With a bit of my good southern charm, I was able to convince a young lady at the post office to send a case of motor oil from AL to a fellow BITOG member in CA, via Media Mail. Yes, Media Mail!!!
At some point in the process, they spilled a couple of quarts of the oil, and had to repackage the whole case. They even put the empty bottles in the new package. The oil arrived at it's intended location approx. 2 months behind schedule, but it did only cost me like $9 or something to ship. It was fairly cheap.

The outside drops I've tried lately all have restricter plates that don't allow a package as this as an oil sample bottle to fit in the box.
