Gunk in Gear Oil Jug

Check out this gunk at the bottom of my jug of 80W-90 gear oil. Bottle was unsealed and tightly closed years ago. Has this happened to anyone else? OK to use?

Looks like some additives may have come out of suspension. I haven't seen it myself though I've never looked inside the bottle for it. I'd say it's okay to use and not going to hurt anything, it is gear oil after all...

Sounds good, will do. I've seen this phenomenon with some other oils as well. Curious to know if it's common or if others have observed it.
