I was reading a MSDS sheet and was wondering what group oil designation would a "Hydrotreated Heavy Paraffinic Distillate" be, Group I or Group II? The oil was GulfTec 10w30.

Yes, made by American Refinery in Bradford, PA. It is a Group II.

I purchased a case of GulfTec and after reading an article on oil I was afraid that this oil was only group I oil. Good to know that its at least a grp II. I'll have a used oil analysis on it in a few months. I'm not sure why but I'm pulling for this oil to perform well I guess I am a little nostalgic.
