Just noticed this on the new vehicle. The door glass has a distinct groove in the edge, there is no corresponding ridge in the sealing area of the door channel, it is just a U groove lined with a flocked seal material.
Thoughts from the group? Maybe having 2 separate narrow sealing points is a better than one wider one? I had a '17 model of the same vehicle and it didn't have these grooves, but I don't remember any real difference in noise levels. Did a quick search and nothing popped up.
