My fear is, will these prices ever go down? Everyone's costs are up, so I get it, but in my 51yrs on this Earth, I've never seen gasoline go as high as it has and held that price as long as it has.
I'm the same age and very well remember the crunch back in 2008/2009 when fuel was insanely high in my area for quite awhile. At that point I swore I'd never complain as long as regular was $3 or less per gallon and I haven't.
I will say in our area we've seen less people shopping as most stores offer the curb side stop/drop. I get it that some are still concerned over the slight possibility of COVID and of course some are too sick to walk in to shop, but the majority of it is convenience/laziness at this point. I have NO doubt that some price increase is because of that added convenience as it has to be covered somehow.
