Only thing i'll toss in-- #9 (as with most Meguiars products) swings more towards fillers than abrasives. Thus, the Autoglym is going to remove all those neeto polishing fillers.

But for gentle and worryfree swirl removers, it's hard to pass up #9. I think you could polish for days and not ruin the pain.

Clayed my Tacoma a couple of weeks ago and it made a huge difference! I also clayed windows.

I topped it off with Klasse Sealant.

Yeah I was looking to be way conservative, I could have cut it a little more but i am not experienced with cutting a clear coat. The detail supply I go to suggested this combo. Are you saying the #9 was a waste? Could I get the same results with the radiant wax alone? Curious beacause I know the Autoglym is a wax and a polish but it is not a swirl remover.

#9 is perfectly fine and not a waste of time as long as that is all that is required. It is a very mild polish, but for a relatively swirl-free finish #9 may be all that it needs. If the swirls are deeper or you still have swirling after using #9 a couple times, then you should use something stronger.

It all depends on how much damage you're trying to fix. Just match the products to the job and use something strong enough to take care of it - no more or less. By default take the gentler approach first if you're unsure.

Was it a waste, no. Meguiars #9 does contain diminishing abrasives to actually remove swirls and minor imperfections.

However, the Autoglym relies more on chemical cleaners which will remove the vast majority of the #9 fillers (of which it has a lot).

My suggestion is to keep going with the #9 and Super Resin Polish until the #9 is gone. Then switch to a pure polish like a Menzerna Final Polish or P21S Cleansing Lotion. Those contain very little fillers.

I love #9, but i also follow up with a pure wax, #26 in my case. I hear great things about the Autoglym line, so if you like that shine, stick with it!!
