Indeed an excellent read, and it was so good some other websites even stole it and made it their own! :p

G-Oil does not claim to use esters. They describe their base oils as "made with plants or animal fat" and claim to have a patent application covering "conversion of saturated fats from plant or animal origins into high value unsaturated oil like materials"

Their MSDS only lists a synthetic polyol ester.

Yes, one of the methods is nature, as esters are ubiquitous in nature (and smell nice).
