I have not found a spec. for the lube for this gear box in Gravely manuals.

I have been using a moly GL2 grease, but find that this does not stay near the gears inside the gear box.

Is there a different grease/gear oil that will provide constant lubrication?

Would "000" be more fluid than "00"? Would the "000" be "slung" away from the pinion and bevel gears like GL2 grease is or would it "stay put"?

The Gravely manual for the 60" mower deck says to apply "00" grease or equivalent to each spindle, gauge wheel, drive shaft, caster fork, and idler pivot weldment for specfic hours of operation -- no spec for gear box just keep gear box 3/4 full of grease. (I use gear lube in our Gravely 30" Model 106 gear box which has a pinion and bevel gear configuration, but am reluctant to do so with the 60" gear box because I am not sure how "good" the seal is in the bottom of the 60" gear box. I had rotator cuff surgery 8 days ago and do not want to convert to gear oil and have a gear oil leaking onto the spindle drive belts but am concerned about the GL2 grease be "slung" away from the pinion snd bevel gears. Thank you for your thoughts.
