From the hydraulic system on my grasshopper 928. 780 hours on the machine, unknown on the filter. I suspect a lot and I feel perhaps it has been many years since it was changed. Just something about it did not feel right. Media seems to be synthetic and there was a small amount of debris.

That filter looks so clean I wasn't sure if I was looking at a virgin C&P or not.. I would have expected some metal. My mower has the cheap EZT transmissions with no filter or way to easily change fluid.

It was filthy on the outside. The filter was leaking and there was half an inch of oily dirt caked everywhere. Looks like instead of tightening the filter they just kept adding fluid. The filter I put on loosened after the first couple of heat cycles and I spotted it dripping, so that's what I figure happened. 10 hours now and no drips so it's a watch item but I think not a problem.

What filter went back on?
I scored 3 oem filters for 22 dollars from a guy who sold his mower. So I have about 2k hours worth of filters, I thought it took 2 but it only needs one.
