Not to throw shade, but I hope she takes care of her shoulders. As an experienced distance swimmer, who regularly practices at a major university, I've seen most of the team swimmers experiencing rotator cuff issues and spending a large amount of time in braces and icing their shoulders. Competitive swimming requires massive overtraining, which will result in quality of life issues later in life. I learned this the hard way. Best wishes to her, particularly for her long term health, which is more important than winning medals and ribbons.
