There are so many variables when it comes to how trailer tires are used and cared for. When weekend towers come on forums to complain-they always say they checked their air pressure and never speed. The funny thing is I have never seen anybody check their pressure before they pull out of their campsite. Furthermore- ST tires are rated at 65mph (for the most part) and here in Utah I see guys pull at 75mph and pass me like I'm standing still. BTW-while not USA made Carlisle Tires has a new radial called Radial Trail HD that have been getting reliable reports for the last year or so and are slightly less than the Goodyears.
I have never had any issue with ST tires-but I don't pull over 60mph and I DO ALWAYS check my pressure.
