Do any of you have any knowledge of good suppliers of used Honda manual transaxles?
The '97's transaxle is now toast.
It is virtually locked up.
Not sure why, although this began a few weeks back as a difficulty in selecting fifth.
Anyway, I'm thinking that I can swap in a used unit and see the car pass 200K, as well as get another couple of years from it.
The car is otherwise sound, has minimal rust and runs well, so I think it's worth fixing.
I would appreciate any helpful advice on used parts suppliers any of you have had good experiences with.

Craigslist is your best bet, I bought a transmission out of a 93 LX for my 97 lx for 50 dollars which shifts perfect, every junkyard in town wanted 400 bucks with 0 guarantees on its working order, at least with craigslist you know who to go back to when it doesn't work.

Either that or take it to a shop to be repaired, buying a used one off someone is your best bet.
