dexos1â„¢ Gen 3 progress

In other specification news, General Motors' (GM) dexos1â„¢ Gen 3 has been delayed for at least three months due to COVID-19. GM is planning to revisit the timing in July of this year. dexos1â„¢ Gen 3 will include a new vehicle fuel economy test and a revised LSPI test, which will include transient states and new base-oil requirements.

The latest on ILSAC GF-6

So that's why the Corolla is refusing to get out of the driveway its a revolt. 3655 miles in 7 months. I've put my April OCI for just this one major impact to motoring.

Good chance most current SN Plus oil will already meet those specs. Seems oil companies anticipate the new specs and work them in before they are current.

There was no conventional in SN-SN+ 5w30 either, no matter what they call it. Think Valvoline Daily Protection VWB was one of the first to meet SP. Assume it's still a blend.
