GM 5.3L V8

As a fleet owner of many 6.0 and 5.3 GM's, I think the piston slap issue is [censored].

We have 'slappers' currently operating with over 300k miles in an outrageous duty cycle. Run sweet, get great gas mileage, and last forever.

And my personal 5.3 Silverado (05) is the quietest engine I have ever owned in 35+ years of driving.

MIL has an 02 Yukon 5.3l. It's been a great engine. However, she's had an issue for some time where it has a lumpy idle on startup. Don't know if it's a dirty IAC or what, but it sounds horrible.
