I think the GM 4718 spec is the synthetic spec.(Caddy/Vetts)
and Dexos 1 is the new semi-synthetic spec. for all the rest
of 2011 and newer engines. The best oil to use would still
be a full synthetic.

GM4718 out-performs dexos. Better base fluids are required to meet GM4718.
