glue replacement on dakota door mirror

Hi:
I have a 1994 Dakota. The drivers door mirror glass fell off today, hit the ground, minor chip. Looks like originally installed with round disks of glue? Anyway, sprayed with satin paint while off, now: what glue to use? Thanks!

Go to your favorite home center and get a tube of clear 100% GE silicone adhesive/caulking.
